The Community Outreach Commission provides consultation to the pastor through members of the pastoral staff about the needs and service projects inside and outside of the parish.
The St. Michael Community Outreach Commission desires to be witnesses and examples of Jesus' love by welcoming all who seek Him, assisting those in need, and sharing our talents and resources for the good of others. By organizing parish and interfaith activities, we help our parishioners to care for and support the less fortunate and reach out to the lonely and homebound in our parish, community, and beyond.
Ongoing Outreach Projects
St. Michael Serves
St. Michael Serves is a weekend of service opportunities for all members of the family. Most service opportunities are offered here at St. Michael Parish; some opportunities are off-site. St. Michael Serves is usually held twice a year, during Lent and Advent.
For more information, or if you are interested in participating, please contact Mary Heilers.

Giving Tree - Our Giving Tree project works with various organizations to determine needs, organize donations, and distribute gifts during the Christmas season.
Interfaith Hospitality - St. Michael Parish works with the Sharonville United Methodist Church to help homeless families by providing volunteers four times a year to serve as hosts to the families staying at the church.
Helping Hands - The Helping Hands program assists those in our parish and community who are in need of temporary service, such as yard work, cleaning, and transportation.
Respect Life Baby Shower - The Respect Life Baby Shower collects necessary baby items and donates them to the Women's Center - Sharonville.
Pillow Cases/Baby Blankets - This project combines the talent of those parishioners who like to sew with those who are in need of their donations. Pillow cases are donated to the Sharonville United Methodist Church Interfaith Hospitality families. Those families use the pillowcases for sleeping at night and carrying their belongings between locations. The baby blankets are donated to the Women's Center - Sharonville.
Shared Food - The Shared Food collection donates food items for the Sisters of Mercy Food Pantry, located at St. Francis de Sales Church and for the Sharonville Christmas Fund.
Absent Parishioner Outreach - The Absent Parishioner Outreach sends cards to nursing home residents and homebound parishioners.
The Community Outreach Commission also engages our parish family in concern for all God’s creation. We inspire the faithful to live the gospel message through meaningful action that promotes peace and justice both locally and globally. The Commission educates the community about Catholic Social Teaching and opportunities for Christian Stewardship through prayer, liturgy, leadership and service. The Community Outreach Commission sponsors additional projects, such as Habitat for Humanity, as requested.
